Biography

Born in Belfast (Ireland) in 1984, he lives and works in Paris.

A self-taught artist, Marc-Antoine Léval emphasizes society’s inclinations through his artistic productions, and with each work, provokes our questioning.

Off the beaten path, through immaterial art, the artist proposes a reflection of which the only conceptualization constitutes a work.

First a solo artist, MAL exhibited among the Parisian collective 21bis.org, whose cardboard sheds decorating Paris sidewalks, and whose “HOLLYWOOD” effigy along the street, brought necessary even mandatory amazement in regards to a new cutting edge artist.
Today, his most accomplished project, and the one garnering all the attention is the now famous « Please François Pinault, buy my work », on an 8 by 5 square metre tarp, notably at the FIAC in October 2008 after among others, a stop in Venice on the Palazzo Grassi.
