Jen Tozer’s passion for gemology and jewelry design began when she was a child and would search for interesting shells and driftwood in the sand of the beaches of southern California. Her interest in the natural beauty of rocks and gems and their delicacy has helped her make a name in the jewelry milieu in the UK and around the world.
Her designs have appeared in Vogue, Lucky, Marie Claire, In Style, Nylon and Bazaar magazines. Other sources of inspiration are the world of plants and contemporary art - both of which can be glimpsed through the watercolored stones combined with fluid, streamlined shapes of gold and silver in her work.
Jen attended the Gemological Institue of America, GIA, in Carlsbad, California and then did an apprenticeship in London with Wendy Ramshaw, whose work is in the collections of over 70 museums and art galleries worldwide and who has been honored as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to art.
After a stint as the assistant to Jade Jagger, creative director at Garrard & Co, Jen started designing under her own name and creating her own collections, which debuted at Kabiri in 2007 and are now also carried in the new jewelry hall at Selfridges. She never outsources, and her creations are handmade. Jen is currently working.
